I wanted to help these schools to replace instruments that were lost due to Hurricane Katrina. It is a pleasure for me to donate musical instruments for the children of Haiti. Let me update you on my efforts. I am donating 4 trombones plus accessories such as slide oil, slide tuning grease, snake wire slide cleaning brushes and chrome folding music stands. The accessories are brand new, but the trombones are used instruments. The 4 trombones are the following models: Bach BT300; Blessing Scholastic B128; Conn 14H Director; and a Conn 18H Director. These trombones are American made student quality instruments that are in good condition with no major dents or dings. I have personally tried playing each trombone and each one has past my rigorous test. The slide movement is smooth on each one of these horns. These trombones are small bore straight Bb tenors. I have completed inspecting each horn. I am now in the process of cleaning each instrument. I want to deliver these horns to you with dry slides. I am also waiting on the delivery of the accessory items. I had to buy these items brand new from other eBay sellers. I should be able to deliver these horns to you in September right after Labor Day. In the past I have donated trombones to New Orleans area schools. The spirit and talent of the Holy Trinity Music School project is indeed excellent, and I concur with Dr. Montes that responding to the current needs by offering instruments for these fantastic human beings and musicians will have immeasurable positive results in the aftermath of Haiti's devastating earthquake.
